Ohio town creates Clergy Crisis Response Team to help victims of tragedies cope

August 20 '07: In Fairfield, Ohio, Fire Chief Don Bennet has created the Clergy Crisis Response Team "in an attempt to support the citizens which encounter traumatic events within the community."
The program was begun in 2000 and was formed with the help of community clergy who worked to create a "comprehensive chaplaincy program which assist first responders in emergency [sic] crisis."Since the creation of the CCRT, community religious leaders have been aiding first responders in helping community members immediately after a crisis who may be dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder. Clergy with the CCRT also help with recovery efforts. Chaplain Rob Rosenblaum is the acting director the the Fairfield CCRT.
